LoCo Tampa Bay is a local restaurant owned catering marketplace of restaurants and caterers. We are passionate about putting the power back in the hands of our community. We believe in supporting businesses that invest where we live, not national giants that take millions out to benefit investors.

Imagine: More money (millions) circulating here in Tampa Bay, supporting local restaurants, customers getting 4x more cash back on catering orders VS. the national competitor , referrals, drivers, and even cancer patients in need all benefiting financially. That’s the LoCo difference

Our Social Enterprise distributes up to 50% of profits to:

  • Customers (26%) for their loyalty
  • Friend referrals (14%) for spreading the word about our unique service
  • FL Cancer Specialist Foundation (10%) to help local cancer patients during treatments pay their bills if they can’t work
  • Delivery drivers (50% of delivery fees, plus 100% of tips) for providing professionalism and great customer service

So why give profits back to the community?

We believe it’s time communities come together to compete against the large venture backed corporate companies. Currently our largest national competitor is ez-ily taking $150 to $200 million out of communities across the country and approximately $1 to $2 million out of Tampa Bay every year.

Founder/Partner

As the founder of LoCo Tampa Bay, Mike Magee brings nearly two decades of pioneering experience in the online corporate catering marketplace. His background includes co-founding and owning Cater Nation, an industry leader rated #1 on Trust Pilot, where he helped restaurants significantly increase their 'drop-off' catering sales and provided exceptional service to Fortune 500 companies. Driven by a passion for supporting local restaurants and reinvesting in the community, Mike established LoCo Tampa Bay to bring a new, impactful model to the industry. This model not only features its own integrated delivery network with dedicated drivers to ensure superior, on-time service, but also champions a unique profit-sharing approach, giving back more to customers, referral partners, and through donations to local charities.

Sales & Consulting

Roger Curlin, a Tampa native, has spent most of his adult life in the hospitality industry, starting back with his college days in Gainesville, Florida at UF. Owner of Club Savor (member dining & consultancy club – dozens of partnered restaurants/bars), founder of the Pinellas Independent Hospitality Forum, moderator for two local business development organizations, and an investor in the Enigma Bar & Lounge group.

Business Consulting

Gary Armstrong brings years of proven expertise in strategic planning, market optimization, brand development, public relations, as well as non-profit leadership and management. As a financial and management professional who has experienced success in executive management building highly successful organizations my focus is on helping businesses and other organizations plan for and achieve critical strategic objectives, build and manage effective operational and sales teams, and facilitate strategic partnerships.

Director of Restaurant Management

Tyler Magee started honing his customer service skills at an early age with Cater Nation. He has over three years of sales experience as a certified health insurance agent and recently provided customer service support for a large distributorship in Northern VA. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Radford University.

Marketing

Brandon Friedman is a brand-building creative director and copywriter who has garnered national and international attention for his disruptive work. In addition to rebranding Moe’s Southwest Grill and defining the brand voice across all mediums, Brandon has created breakthrough work for Mizuno, Spanx, Comcast, The Home Depot, Kyndryl (an IBM spinoff) and Coca-Cola among others.

Web Developer

Anthony Joseph is a business professional leader who offers over 13 years of work experience and has worked in a wide diversity of industries and has an extensive background in business operations with a deep understanding of many technical systems. Anthony continues to use creative and innovative ways to manage a wide variety of challenging assignments in fast-paced and time-sensitive working environments.
